Patch — October 23, 2026
This patch makes everyday planning clearer and more reliable: simpler participation, predictable date voting, clearer event changes and better feedback when something cannot be saved or synced.
Participation and comments
• When an event has no extra questions, you can confirm participation directly. Adding a comment opens a separate window where you can also confirm participation.
• For events with additional answers, comments open in their own window. Returning to the form keeps the comment in your draft; confirmation saves it together with your answers.
• Your saved comment is visible in your participation details. Comments remain private between the participant and the organizer.
• Event details make your participation or following status clearer and show whether notifications are enabled in your profile and room, with access to the relevant settings.
Date voting
• Organizers can close voting early and choose the final date themselves before the original voting deadline.
• The voting deadline cannot be later than the earliest proposed date and time. If no deadline is set, that earliest date becomes the deadline.
• If the organizer has not selected a date by the deadline, Reunier chooses the most voted date. Tied leaders are chosen at random; with no votes, a date is chosen at random from all options. “Any date works for me” does not favor a particular date.
• The rule is explained before publication and during voting. Selecting a date does not confirm anyone’s participation or extend the participation deadline.
Changes to events and series
• Important changes show “before → after” in the event details, making changed times, locations and participation deadlines easier to understand.
• Update pushes are shorter: one notification per save, highlighting the new time and place when they change, instead of listing every edited field. The full comparison remains in the event details.
• Editing a recurring event now explains the effect on the series and what happens when repeats are stopped.
Calendars and reminders
• Calendar settings distinguish pending updates, failed synchronization and access that needs reconnecting, with clearer recovery actions. A calendar problem is shown separately from a successfully saved change in Reunier.
• Improved handling of event moves, cancelled participation and calendar disconnection, with clearer explanations of what is removed and what remains.
• Notification permission choices are remembered on the device, reducing repeated prompts after a refusal.
More reliable saving and joining
• Improved protection against duplicate rooms or events when retrying a creation request, and against overwriting newer event edits from an outdated form.
• Event creation drafts are kept on the device, with a warning if the draft cannot be saved. Save failures, uncertain results and a failed refresh after a successful save now have distinct, understandable messages.
• Fixed invitation flows that could report joining as failed when the room had already been joined but the event could not be opened.
• Leaving a room now clearly warns that participation, answers, comments and private follows are removed and will not return automatically if you rejoin.
Finding events and interface polish
• Search and filter events by those you participate in, follow or organize. Active filters are visible and can be cleared.
• Organizers can search and filter participant responses more easily.
• Improved consistency of event cards, dialogs, controls, spacing and colors in light and dark themes. Reduced-motion preferences are respected more consistently, and vibration feedback is limited to successful room or event creation.
These improvements are delivered through the website and server and do not require a new download from Google Play or the App Store.
Room access remains free during the launch period, with no change to the current room limits.

Patch — October 18, 2026
This patch fixes date entry on iPhone and brings clearer room controls, notification setup and improvements across events, calendars and the interface.
Dates and event creation
• Fixed the calendar picker on iPhone when creating and editing events.
• Manual date entry now inserts the day/month separators automatically. Entering a day and month without a year fills in the current year when you leave the field.
• Improved date validation: an event cannot end before it starts, and the participation deadline must be before the start. Invalid values stay visible so you can correct them.
Choosing an event date
• On step 2 of event creation, organizers can open a separate window to propose dates and set when voting closes. The choices stay in the draft until the final confirmation.
• Each member chooses one answer. Organizers can optionally include “Any date works for me”, and members can change their answer until voting closes.
• Cards on Home and in the room show that a date vote is available. Voting and results are inside the event details, with a clearer, more compact layout.
• After voting closes, the organizer confirms the final date. Voting does not automatically sign anyone up for the event or make them follow it.
Repeating events and organizers
• Added monthly and yearly repeats with a chosen day of the month. If that day does not exist, such as 31 April or 29 February in a non-leap year, the organizer chooses whether to skip it or use the last day of the month.
• A series can also use specific dates within the next 12 months. It ends after the last selected date.
• Organizers can explicitly transfer event management to another eligible room member, preserving existing responses and follows. If members are not allowed to create events, the recipient must be a moderator.
Room ownership and invitations
• The current room owner can choose an eligible member and confirm an immediate ownership transfer. The previous owner stays in the room as a regular member; members, events and responses are preserved.
• Transfers respect the new owner's room limits and immediately update room-management permissions. There is no automatic transfer.
• Room invitation links now have their own management window, accessible from Settings and the Share button in the room menu. Unavailable sharing controls explain whether joining is disabled or a link has not been created yet.
Notifications and calendars
• After your first room join on a device, or when account notifications are off, a setup window lets you explicitly enable account notifications and choose all room events, only events you participate in or follow, or no room notifications.
• Restored push notification delivery on iPhone.
• Your profile now shows this device’s notification permission and lets you send yourself a test push. Reminder delivery and opening events from notifications are more reliable.
• Calendar settings explain which events are synced: those you organize or participate in. Following an event or joining its room does not add it to your calendar; Apple Calendar updates while you use the iPhone app.
• Google Calendar now clearly shows when access needs to be reconnected, with more reliable recovery after reconnecting.
Interface and account recovery
• More consistent page widths and spacing, with a more compact footer that stays at the bottom of short pages.
• Improved wrapping of long event descriptions, poll choices and participation statuses on narrow screens.
• On mobile, Save and Cancel stay visible at the bottom while editing an event, with validation and protection against repeated submissions.
• Date-poll setup now keeps its explanation under “How it works”, with a clear close button and a warning before discarding changes.
• The recurring-event switch now matches the other controls and has a visible keyboard focus.
• Buttons for adding and removing options now have clearer labels for screen readers.
• Fixed map markers not following a changed location.
• Improved recovery-code copying and added confirmation that the code has been saved before closing.

Reunier 1.7.1 brings focused fixes and improvements following the 1.7 redesign.
Room menu
• Fixed the sidebar closing unexpectedly when opening notification options, changing their settings or using other controls inside the menu.
Home screen and app links
• Updated the event preview on the guest home screen to match the current app design.
• Added separate Google Play and App Store buttons on the website, including mobile browsers. These buttons are not shown inside the Android or iOS app.
Build improvements
• Updated Android build tools and release optimisations, alongside improvements to the build process.

Reunier 1.7 — A refreshed look
Reunier has a refreshed look and clearer, more compact screens. The update keeps the familiar room and event structure while improving everyday planning.
A consistent visual style
• Softer violet accents, warmer light backgrounds and a more consistent dark theme.
• Event types now have distinct colours and clear icons instead of cropped illustrations.
• Improved navigation, buttons, contrast and spacing across rooms, events and profiles. Language selection now opens in its own window.
Clearer event creation and participation
• A short introduction explains the creation steps and required fields. You can choose not to show it again.
• Participation and several longer forms open in separate windows, keeping event and profile screens more compact on mobile.
• Date fields and date displays use day-first formatting in English and Spanish, with more predictable manual date entry.
• Fixed event cards overflowing narrow screens, misaligned icons and switches, and dialogs appearing behind other content.
• Event details now stay in the same window while loading, instead of appearing to close and reopen.
Account settings
• Email/password accounts can change their password from the profile. Unverified accounts confirm the current password; verified accounts use an email link without entering the old password. Changing a password from the profile does not sign out existing sessions.
• Password requirements appear when registering, changing or resetting a password, but not on the sign-in form.
• Profiles show when an account uses Google or Apple sign-in and display the appropriate account controls.
• Improved the recovery-code flow, including sign-in after a successful password reset.
Event updates, reminders and calendars
• With notifications enabled, participants receive a distinct alert when an organiser changes the event time or location. General update notifications cover other changes, including the title and description.
• Improved recurring-event handling so advancing to the next date does not overwrite concurrent organiser changes.
• Fixed reminder and calendar-sync checks for recurring events, so a previously synchronised occurrence is not mistaken for the current one.
Mobile availability
The Android and iOS updates have been submitted for review. Availability in each store depends on approval. Access remains free during the launch period, with no change to the current room limits.

Patch — October 13, 2026
This update makes it easier to invite people to events, customise participation and set up a room, with usability improvements on mobile and the web.
Event invitations
• Each event has its own invitation link, separate from the room invitation and without visible numeric identifiers.
• Both the event author and the room owner can share it. You can replace that link without changing other invitations.
• Invitees can sign in or register, join the room and continue to the event. Joining the room does not automatically confirm participation or follow the event.
• The sharing option is easier to find in event details.
More control, only when you need it
• Add an optional place limit when creating or editing an event. Choose one place per response — for example, a family — or one place per person, using the adult and child counts you have enabled. Following an event does not take a place.
• Before creating an event, you can preview the form its participants will see.
• Reuse locations from recent events in the same room, including their coordinates when available.
• Restore an event you previously hid from Home using the room’s event list or event details. Hiding it does not change your participation or reminders; authors cannot hide their own events.
Rooms and accounts
• Settings open after you create a room, so you can configure it from the start.
• Room owners can allow all members to create events without granting moderation permissions. This option is off by default.
• After registering with an email and password, you are signed in directly. The welcome notice explains what is available before email verification and lets you request a verification email without visiting your profile.
Interface
• Invitation screens and their sign-in and room-joining steps now use the full screen on mobile.
• Less empty space in rooms and event details, with more compact room search controls.
• Fixed cramped text and buttons in the profile and event forms, alongside translation fixes and improvements to legal page layouts.

Patch — October 8, 2026
Reunier is temporarily free during its early launch. This update makes it easier to adapt your rooms, organise plans and keep up with product news.
Rooms and limits
• Each account can own up to 3 rooms for 10 members, plus 1 room for each larger size: 25, 50 and 100 members. Joining someone else's room does not use your own room quota.
• All room sizes include the same features. Rooms for up to 10 members remain permanently free; larger rooms are free during the launch.
• Owners can increase or decrease a room's capacity in its settings without creating a new room or losing members, events or responses. The new size must fit the current members and stay within the owner's quota for that size.
• The size selector now shows how many rooms you already own at each size and which limits have been reached.
News in the app
• A bell in the header brings published Reunier News into the app: release notes and messages from the developer, without ads or promotional offers.
• Opening a post marks it as read for your account, including on your other devices. Simply opening the news list does not mark everything as read.
Easier everyday planning
• Pin rooms on your current device and find rooms and events using compact search and filter controls.
• Create a similar event from one you organised, then review the new draft before publishing it.
• Clearer date and time controls, invitations with an explicit time zone, and warnings before discarding unsaved changes in event, participation and room settings forms.
• A cleaner rooms page, with less repeated information and clearer room-size limits where you choose a size.
About the free launch
There is no individual access countdown and no end date has been set for the launch. Before introducing paid access to larger rooms, we will announce the date, terms and options for existing rooms in Reunier News at least one month in advance. Using Reunier now does not authorise any future charge.

This update brings clearer room controls, easier sign-in and fixes across events, calendars and mobile apps.
Rooms
- Room information and management controls are now collapsed by default, keeping events closer to the top. Tap the room name to expand them.
Sign-in and account
- Improved Google and Apple sign-in controls on the home and registration pages, with a clearer registration form.
- Restored clearer account-recovery links on small screens. Recovery pages now distinguish invalid credentials from temporary service failures.
- Strengthened account security and recovery handling. Account exports now include your own participation answers and quantities.
Events and voice input
- Improved event creation and editing, including final confirmation, protection against duplicate submissions and preservation of unsaved changes.
- Fixed cases where editing unrelated event details could clear an unchanged location. Improved participation editing and the display of incomplete responses.
- Stopping voice input now keeps the final recognised text; cancelling discards it.
- Improved dialog loading, scrolling and back-button behaviour, plus data refresh when returning to the app.
Calendars and notifications
- Improved Google Calendar disconnection, with clearer warnings when additional cleanup is needed.
- Apple Calendar on iOS now keeps synchronisation tied to the current Reunier account and requires confirmation before replacing another account’s calendar.
- Fixed notification-permission requests on new devices and an Android issue affecting permission handling.

This update brings easier event planning, more flexible participation and improvements across web, Android and iOS.
• Faster event creation: once the event type, title and start time are filled in, you can go straight to review and skip optional steps.
• Edit your participation before the event starts without cancelling and joining again. Update your answers, quantities and comment.
• Improved event editing: changes to options, polls, participation statuses and people counts are handled consistently. Removed options no longer leave empty entries, and participants are prompted when their response needs updating.
• Change your display name within a room without leaving it. Room members can also see who is participating in an event, without access to other participants’ private answers.
• Improved Google Calendar and Apple Calendar synchronisation. Events you organise can now be synchronised alongside events you participate in. Apple Calendar remains available in the iOS app.
